The objective of the DRGFF Short Film Competition is:
- Promote the short film industry in the Dominican Republic;
- Provide incentive for the creation and development of local productions;
- Stimulate and enrich the local film culture;
- Support community film and provide Dominican professionals with the opportunity to form working networks;
- Increase the visibility of local productions in the national and international film community.

Registration for the DRGFF's II Short Film Competition of the
Dominican Global Film Festival will remain open from
June 15 through September 15, 2010.
Thank you for participating in the First Dominican Short Film Competition
of the Dominican Global Film Festival. Your participation is very valuable for
the cinematographic development of the Dominican Republic.

Prizes:
First place: The winner will receive a video camera and a scholarship to study in Los Angeles and make a short film there under the auspices of the Dominican film production company, Panamericana.
Second prize: The winner will receive an Imac
Third prize: The winner will be given an IPAD
Before filling out the application, you will need the following information at hand:
>>INFORMATION about the short film and director.
>>PHOTOGRAPHS from the film and director (Min. 1MB / JPEG, GIF, or PNG / 300 dpi).
>>YOU MUST FILL OUT ALL SECTIONS OF THE ENTIRE APPLICATION.

Winner or the Short Films Competition
PEDRO DE BELLA VISTA Y SU SUEÑO won the I Short Film Competition of the III DR Global Film Festival, 2009. Rodrigo Montealegre, which name already sounds like a filmmaker, took a huge step forward in his career recently.
