The Dominican Republic Global Film Festival (DRGFF) thanked its
2008 group of volunteers this Thursday, August 6 by throwing a
special party in their honor at the dance club Jet Set in the
Dominican capital.
This group of volunteers that went to great lengths to make the
2008 Festival a great success had the opportunity to relive the
unforgettable experience all over again to the rhythms of a
superb musical selection at the well-know discotheque, sponsor
of this activity.
But it wasn’t all dance. Four of the volunteers were the
recipients of surprise prizes -- two airline tickets, one to New
York and the other to Miami, a day at the spa, and a day pass at
Hotel Santo Domingo were raffled-off amongst those present.
Festival volunteers were accompanied throughout the evening by
GFDD and
FUNGLODE representatives Yamile Eusebio, DRGFF Director of
Planning, Development and Marketing, and Omar de la Cruz, DRGFF
Technical Director. The two GFDD and FUNGLODE representatives
expressed their gratitude to the stellar group of volunteers and
expressed their desire to continuing working together during
this year’s edition of the Dominican Republic Global Film
Festival, November 18-22, 2009.
