Three Films Shown in the III Dominican Global Film Festival Nominated for Golden Globes

Dominican President Leonel Fernández and First Lady Margarita Cedeño, shared a meal with the guests of the III Dominican Republic Global Film Festival in the Mesón La Cava.

Meson de la CavaThe Mesón La Cava was the place chosen to share breakfast with the invited guests of the III Dominican Global Film Festival.

At 2:00 p.m. the President of the Republic and his wife the First Lady arrived at the restaurant where their guests awaited them. President Fernández and Margarita Cedeño warmly greeted those present then sat at one of the tables with actors Juan Fernández, Shalim Ortiz and his wife Leslie Ann. Other personalities were there as well including Mustafa Abu Naba, Manuel Corripio, businessman George Nader and William Fay, Executive Director of Warner Brothers.

In a relaxed atmosphere, more than 180 of the invited guests mingled as they engaged in conversation and exchanged of views. Actors, directors and film producers enjoyed the get-together with the film critics and international press.

Others in attendance included several prestigious members of the movie industry such as Elliot Rosemblat, Producer at Universal; Michaele and his wife Suzanne Ghevsi, from Admit One Productions; James Potters, from Mechnology UFX; Peter Leverman of Leverman Films; Justin Mullers of Colinas Studios and Phillip Miller, a Producer from Budapest.
At 3:30 pm, President Fernández and the First Lady said goodbye to their guests and left the restaurant.

Tomorrow, November 21, President Fernández will meet again with participants of the III Dominican Global Film Festival in Cap Cana where the film Touched, produced by Shalim Ortiz, will be shown in Caletón Beach.
